Arusha National Park

Size: 552 sq km 212 sq miles).
Location: Northern Tanzania, northeast of Arusha town.
In the morning, we will collect you from your hotel in Arusha and take you to the Arusha National Park. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Your day trip will include a visit to the Ngurdo Crater. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species. At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting for you to accompany you on your walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. Only a few other national parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed. Lunch will be taken at a picnic place and in the afternoon, you will continue your tour in the safari vehicle through the Arusha National Park. After plenty of time allocated for you to observe the wildlife, we will take you back to Arusha.

Tarangire National Park

Size: 2850 sq km (1,096 sq miles).
Location: 118 km (75 miles) southwest of Arusha.
After breakfast you are met by our tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari briefing. After briefing you will depart for Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch. Tarangire derived its name from the Tarangire River which crosses along the center of the park and which provides permanent water for the wildlife and birdlife of the park round the year. It is here where a large group of different species of animal concentrate during the dry season and the best place to take photographs.

It's natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Also it is in Tarangire by chance you can see the tree climbing African pythons.
Tarangire National Park accommodated migratory and resident birdlife and believed to be a paradise of birdwatchers as more than 350 different species have been recorded to-date. Other wildlife that Tarangire accommodates includes the rare Oryx, impalas, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards and different types of gazelles.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park followed by a short afternoon game drive, along the Tarangire River. Late afternoon you will depart for Arusha Town or airport depends on your itinerary.

Lake Manyara National Park

Size: 330 sq km (127 sq miles), of which up to 200 sq km (77 sq miles) is lake when water levels are high.
Location: In northern Tanzania. The entrance gate lies 1.5 hours (126km/80 miles) west of Arusha along a newly surfaced road, close to the ethnically diverse market town of Mto wa Mbu.

After breakfast you are met by our tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari briefing. After briefing you will depart for Lake Manyara National Park with packed lunch. Upon your arrival at Lake Manyara, you will be welcomed by the Great Rift Valley Escarpment view and fun makers' baboon in large groups at the entrance.
Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania's most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley's western escarpment. The park's varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals; including one of Africa's densely populated African elephant, famous tree-climbing lions, as well as a large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the Lake.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park followed by an afternoon game drive, in search of the wildlife and birdlife that Manyara host, you will come along a famous hot spring known as "Maji Moto". Late afternoon you will depart for Arusha Town or airport depends on your itinerary.

Ngorongoro Crater

Non game-viewing travel time: 4½ hours
Distance: 270 km

Very early in the morning after your breakfast you will meet your driver guide for safari briefing. After a short discussion you will start your safari to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will pass Mto Wa Mbu village, Lake Manyara National Park and Karatu village. Ngorongoro crater is situated within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and has been recorded as 8 th wonders of the word for its beauty and amazing landscape.

Upon your arrival you will start with a place known as view point whereby you can see the entire crater floor after having all the authority formalities. Our safari will take us to descend to the crater floor about 660 meters with our picnic lunch for a full day game drive. The crater is famous for its permanent staying wildlife within the crater floor; this is due to the permanent water and green pasture that the crater has.

Ngorongoro crater has varieties of attraction which include the hot springs, vegetation, wildlife and birdlife. The wildlife which stays in the crater floor include, buffalo, lion, cheetah, elephant, wildebeest, zebra, rare black rhino, waterbuck, warthog a few just to mention. The crater also accommodates numerous numbers of birdlife migratory and resident birdlife round the year sending much time to the alkaline lakes that crater floor owns. Whoever visit Ngorongoro crater has never regretted for what he/she did rather having fun and a history of his/her lifetime. Later in the afternoon we ascend the crater floor ready for depart to Arusha where we will end our safari adventure.

Mikumi National Park

Non game-viewing travel time: 2 to 3 hours
Distance: 283 km (175 miles) from Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi.
Mikumi Safari is a short tour from Dar Es Salaam, which takes you to visit one of the spectacular’s southern circuit National parks of Tanzania. The park hosts’ small and large mammals including variety of birds species and reptiles.

We pick you up early in the morning at your hotel at 06:30 am drive direct to Mikumi National park where you will arrive around 10:00 am and starting a morning game drive. This park is home to Elephant, Lion, Wild dog, Zebras, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Eland, Hartebeest, Crocodile, Lizard and other residents. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park then drive to the hotel for lunch at Mikumi Wildlife Camp Restaurant or similar, after game drive en route back to Dar Es Salaam and drop you off at your hotel.

Saadani National Park

Non game-viewing travel time: 2 hours
Distance: 200 km (124 miles) from Dar Es Salaam to Saadani.

Saadani National Park is the perfect union of beach and bush. Located just 70 km north of Bagamoyo and easily accessible by paved road from Dar es Salaam, Saadani is a wonderful day-trip from the beach resorts scattered along Tanzania's northern coast. The only wildlife sanctuary in East Africa to boast an Indian Ocean beachfront, it possesses all the attributes that make Tanzania's tropical coastline and islands so popular with European sun-worshippers.

The Wami River which passes through Saadani National Park and empties into the Indian Ocean hosts a large population of hippos, crocodiles, flamingos and many large bird species.

Elephants are often viewed bathing and playing on Saadani's beach especially in the early hours of the morning. The elephant population frolics in the sands and sometimes ventures into the crashing surf; this alone makes Saadani worth visiting.
